Meet the Chiropractor

Dr. Dennis Koslowski

I graduated from Northwestern Chiropractic College in 1986. I worked in a couple of high volume Chiropractic Clinics as an Associate Doctor. I quickly realized that I did not like the type of service offered at these clinics. It seemed that the idea of the clinics were to move the patients through as quickly as possible and to limit time with the patients between two and five minutes. This made it impossible to offer the proper care for complicated cases. This type of care did not represent to me the type of care I had personally received from Chiropractors due to sports injuries I incurred in high school, college or while I was in Chiropractic school.

While earning my Doctorate Degree at Northwestern Chiropractic College, I was also pursuing my goal to be an Olympic Greco Roman Wrestling champion. From 1981 to 1992 I competed nationally and internationally in the 220 lb. weight class. In the process I was able to win 7 National titles, and competed in 5 World championships, 2 Pan American games and 2 Olympics. Ultimately, I was able to win a Silver Medal at the 1987 World Championships, a Bronze Medal in the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, Korea and a Silver Medal in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. I was inducted into the USA Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2009 and the National Greco Roman Hall of Fame in 2012.

Due to my own amateur sporting career in college football, college wrestling and Olympic level wrestling, it is not surprising that my own practice caters to athletic injuries, whether the patient is a weekend warrior or a professional athlete. Once I began my own practice I strived to supply the type of care that I myself would expect from a Doctor of Chiropractic. I spend 10 to 15 minutes per visit with my patients and as much as one hour with a new patient. Besides the manual adjusting techniques that most chiropractors offer I can also offer acupuncture, Active Release Techniques (ART), Graston, Kinesiotape and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). I work on a wide variety of patients ranging from normal neck, back and extremity injuries such as knees and shoulders, to Auto, Workmen's Compensation and other Personal Injuries.

With my certifications and continuing education studies in ART, Graston, Kinesiotape and SFMA I have built a very good reputation in the Minnesota Sporting Community. I was the Team Chiropractor for the Minnesota Vikings for 5 years from 2006 to 2011 and have been the Minnesota Twins Team Chiropractor since 2010. I have also treated Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Lynx, and University of Minnesota Athletes via referral.

I have practiced ART for over 13 years. ART Corporate Office is a proud sponsor of the Iron Man Triathalon. Since triathalon training and competing requires extensive repetitive motion activities, triathletes benefit greatly from the soft tissue work required to treat plantar fasciitis, achilles tendonitis, patellar tendonitis, Illiotibial band syndrome, rotator cuff tendonitis or bursitis, hip bursitis / tendonitis and lateral and medial epicondylitis just to name a few.

Testimonials

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • "After years of shoulder problems and multiple attempts to improve the condition, including surgery in 2001, I continued to struggle with poor range of motion and pain. I began reading about ART and decided it was worth a try. I was astounded by the positive results after the first treatment with Dr. Koslowski. I have seen significant improvements in my weight lifting goals and overall shoulder performance. I highly recommend Dr. Koslowski and ART."
